Big Bang Pistol

Well, I'm sorry, but I took awhile to REMEMBER to put this gun on the site!!! From what Brian says, I think it was a "liquid carbide" that you put into this gun. I know, because I did it when I was in high school. Carbide plus water yields acetylene, which is quite flammable. Any kid could go down to the hardware store and buy some in a can. Get a pipe, drill a hole in it, stick it at an angle in the ground, pour some carbide down the pipe, pour in a little water, stick a tennis ball in the pipe, then light the gas coming out of the hole. BANG!!! It blows the tennis ball across the yard. Hey...it was a different day in 1965. Nobody worried about much at all!!! This is a terrific addition to the site.
