In keeping with America's Judeo-Christian roots, we as Evangelical Christians do all we can to support our fellow human beings in prayer and supplication to Almighty God. As stated elsewhere in this website, we are Christians, and we do not fear to publicly acknowledge our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for we know that if God is for us, then who can be against us? In this life, you are finally required to make a stand for something or you will fall for anything.

I personally believe in the power of prayer. I have seen it turn the meanest man into a man after God's own heart. I have seen prayer lead people to Christ. I have seen prayer comfort those who couldn't be comforted. For those of you out there who are like-minded, I would appreciate it if you would pray for those people on the list with Thanksgiving that we serve a God who cares about us on an individual basis. The 139th Psalm, one of my favorite, says that God is in front of us and behind us and even if we take the Wings of the Morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even then He is with us. Do not expect your life to be easy just because you are following God. This world may easily hate you because it prefers darkness and sin, but God will be your Rock and your Strong Fortress. So, will you pray with me for those who need it and also for our nation and our fallen world? Blessed be the God of Abraham, Isaac and of Jacob.

Thanks, Mike Nichols

For those of you who wish to send a prayer request, so that others can pray for you (or yours), then please send it to:

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
II Chronicles 7:14
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!
Deuteronomy 6:4
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him! In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Matthew 7:7-12

Father, I ask you to bless our troubled nation in its time of need. Please dear Lord, inspire those who are in power over us to follow your will so that we may live in security. Let them feel your inspiration and Holy Spirit in their lives so that they will direct us in the paths of righteousness. Please grant peace to Jerusalem and let them be at peace. Grant us the wisdom to know how to respond to our enemies with kindness, but how to resist the evil one at the same time, knowing that only by your love will we show them the correct way. Please keep us safe in our homes and protect our soldiers who are doing their best and sometimes giving their lives to protect us. Grant us also your Holy Spirit that we may remember your kindnesses and benevolence and thus order our lives in accordance with your commandments and statutes and demonstrate your love to our fellow man. Please give us our daily bread and guard us from transgressions against you. I ask you to bless those on this list and cure their afflictions and diseases and give them relief in their time of distress. For you are our God and you are the King of the universe and we realize that nothing that we can possibly do on our own is sufficient to bring salvation to our own lives, but that salvation only comes from you and blessings are all gifts from you and not through our own merits. Grant us your peace and keep our thoughts directed towards loving you and let us demonstrate the love that you have shown us to our fellow man that we might be the light of the world in a serious time of darkness. In Jesus' Holy Name I pray. Amen.
