The older portion is Doug's hand. Sorry Doug, I just couldn't resist. I myself am not used to seeing 3 holes in the bottom of the brass like this. Were they trying to let out some of the gases in smoke, or just trying to relieve the pressure? I know that the caps actually generated more pressure than one would normally think.
