I could be wrong, but I think that the word,
"RED" is very small and is slightly to the left of the "RANGER" just below the
cylinder. I guess as long as you can resist handling them, the gold guns should
outlast the nickel plated ones, finish-wise, as gold doesn't tarnish. But how
many people can resist showing them to their Cap Gun Buddies? I can't, and I
have a G-45. Which explains why the gold is a little thin on the barrel
