The "expert" guess is that someone decided that
once the Klondike TV series was over, they should just retool this gun into the
Stallion 44. Why there aren't more examples out there is one of the biggest
mysteries. But there aren't very many Klondikes out there either. My guess is
that toward the end of the "completely Nichols" era, that there just wasn't the
enthusiasm. Besides Cap Gun sales were low anyway and this one probably wasn't
