This is a rare black finished Texan, Jr. by Hubley with the
original box. The gun is seldom seen in this finish. It has never been fired
and the finish is 90 percent. You can see some wear of the top finish on the
end of the barrel in the photos. In person this is not noticeable and the gun
displays very well. The box is very nice. One end flap is missing. $140 shipped

Today I have a rare gun for sale. It is a cast iron "dummy"
Texan, Jr. by Hubley. The gun is listed as a 2 star in rarity in the Logan and
Best cast iron toy gun book. The production date is 1940. A star logo cast iron
Texan, Jr is a rare gun. The dummy edition is even rarer. The "dummy" cap guns
have no anvil on the hammer and will not shoot caps. They were made for
cities/states that outlawed caps. This is a beautiful heavy gun. I don't think
I have seen on like this in mint condition in 30 years of collecting cap guns.
