In the late 1950's Nichols produced high-impact plastic Counter Display Stands that were only sold to dealers to promote the high-quality cap guns that Nichols produced. They were produced for the STALLION 45 MK II, the STALLION 38, and the STALLION 32. At least those are the only ones that I know of and have never seen or heard of any for other models of Nichols cap guns. The Stand for the STALLION 38 is the rarest of all of them. All Nichols plastic DISPLAY STANDS are EXTREMELY RARE and very desirable by Nichols Collectors the World over. Nichols supplied the Tex-Tan Saddle Company of Yokam, Texas with cap guns in which Tex-Tan sold them with the Tex-Tan name on the boxes. We know of three variations of Tex-Tan boxes. There are two for the Stallion .45. A two-piece box and a one-piece box variation and a one-piece box for the Silver Mustang. Any Tex-Tan box is highly sought after by Nichols Collectors. This box is the SUPER RARE one-piece variation. It is much RARER than the two-piece box. This cap gun is the 3rd variation chrome-plated variety & is in Mint-In-Box un-fired condition and functions as it should rotating the cylinder with each pull of the trigger or hammer.
