As it turns out, there are quite a few other Cap
Guns from companies that never quite made it to the forefront. Some of the guns
weren't any good and some were TERRIFIC! But they don't quite fall into a major
category, so we present them here.

This is a
very unusual cap gun & cork ball shooter. It is a very well made die-cast
gun that can shoot caps, cork balls, or both. It is a large frame gun that
measures 9-1/2 inches long. It is designed to shoot in single action mode only
which means that you have to pull the hammer back to cock it for firing. When
you pull the hammer back the small diameter rod in the end of the barrel (as
seen in the pictures) retracts so that you can place a cork ball in the end of
the barrel. Then when you pull the trigger, the rod extends and fires the cork
ball. It uses 1/2-inch diameter cork balls. |

|
There were other ways to
fight the bad guys and Indians without using cap guns and cork balls. It was
with the use of the Big Bang Pistol. The pistol ammunition used a combination
of water and a small amount of "BANGSITE," which came in a tube. This
combination was placed in the pistol. The flint in the breech would ignite the
the gases that was made by the mixture of water & BANGSITE. It made a very
loud bang. This gun was made by the same company that makes the BIG Bang
Cannon. It was made around 1923-1935.

Here we
have a German version of what they think a Buffalo Bill Cap Gun ought to look
like. Before this, I wasn't aware that Germany had any interest in our Wild
West. |

Gold Plated
Mexican Version of the Buzz Henry Cap Gun
|

Well, the Mexicans have gotten
into the mix too. Here's their version of the Buzz Henry Cap Gun. Would
somebody explain to me how gold plated Cap Guns could be so cheap? Anything I
have ever bought that was gold plated was more expensive. Strange to
me.

This is a
serious case of stealing some good ideas. However, for all I know, they may
have licensed the entire thing out. It is a Gunsmoke Cap Gun set with double
holsters and the Cap Gun look like they were made by Hubley. But they weren't!
It was made by Lincoln Industries, Ltd. of New Zealand. It uses the same
bullets as the Hubley and is modeled on the Hubley Colt 38 & Texan 38. You
won't see many of these.

Treasures.
Here's the other side on
another example of this Cap Gun.
Normally when people send me
off-the-wall photos of a Cap Gun, it is something that looks like it had been
in the bowels of the earth for 560 years and their photo is out of focus and
they ask me what it is and how much it is worth. (In spite of the fact that on
my Contact Page I tell them I'm unlikely to know!) But in this case, we have a
very unusual gun that (to me) looks like a cross between a Walther P-38 and a
Luger. The Woodsman. I hope somebody will tell me something about it, for I
don't recognize itexcept to say that it must have been made prior to
1950. Some guess, huh? At least Johnny knows how to take proper photos. Write
in with your answers about this gun and I'll stick them here.

This
Johnny Eagle Lieutenant by Topper is essentially a scale model of a Colt 1911A
government issue semi-automatic .45. About the most popular handgun ever made.
Still VERY popular to this day and extremely reliable.

"Copycat"
Stallion 45 from New Zealand

The nerve!!! Oh well, this is a
copycat Stallion 45 from way down under. New Zealand, where I would like to
live if I didn't live here. I don't know if they made chrome versions, but this
black one is nice. Would somebody tell me what the "R" stands for?
RIP-OFF???

Now here's something you don't

This gun was made from an Italian import gun from the seventies. It has about
30 hours of custom work.
