This is the Shootin' Shell Fanner 45
VIGILANTE Single Holster Set by Mattel. It is the VERY RARE 1st variation
LEATHER VIGILANTE single holster. These leather VIGILANTE sets came in both
single and double configurations and I have had the luck to offer both. As you
can see in the pictures this is a very unique holster and is different than the
leather holsters for the regular smaller Shootin' Shell Fanner. These were only
produced for a very short while when the FANNER 45 was introduced. Shortly
after it was introduced, they started using the DURA-HYDE holsters which almost
all VIGILANTE sets are known to have. It comes complete with eighteen (18)
original Mattel two-tone metal bullets in the belt and six (6) complete shells
and twelve (12) VERY RARE yellow plastic bullet tips for the cylinder of
the FANNER 45. It functions as it should rotating the cylinder with each pull
of the trigger or hammer and the hammer stays in the half cock and full cock
positions as seen in the photos. There are no chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs
to the grips, frame, or holster.
This is a
MUST HAVE for any Mattel Collector as you may never have the opportunity to

Rare Shootin' Shell

This is the most awesome and realistic
Western Set that Mattel produced. It is the Extremely Rare 1st variation
VIGILANTE Leather Double Holster Set. Mattel started production of the Shootin'
Shell FANNER 45 in 1959 following their successful introduction of the FANNER
50 and the Shootin' Shell FANNER a year earlier. The holster sets for the
FANNER 45 were dubbed the VIGILANTE sets and the first VIGILANTE Sets came with
LEATHER Holsters.
The FANNER
45's and the smaller Shootin' Shell FANNER's have revolving cylinders and were
made to use the very popular and successful Shootin' Shells made by Mattel.
Both guns are in NEAR MINT un-fired condition, and both operate as designed
holding in the Half-Cock & Full-Cock positions as seen in the photos. There
are no chips, cracks, or repairs to the grips or frames of the guns. The
Shootin' Shell FANNER 45 is very realistic and is an almost exact copy of the
real Colt Single Action Army revolver.
Both guns
function as they should turning the cylinder with each pull of the trigger or
hammer and come complete with twelve (12) Shootin' Shells & twenty-four
(24) VERY RARE yellow plastic bullet noses. The belt comes with ten (10) solid

This is one of the RARE &
Hard-To-Find Marx Cap Firing Rifles that is a smaller near copy of the famous
Winchester Model 73 Rifle that MARX offered for sale in the late 1950's and
early 1960's. It is thirty-four (34) inches in length. This one is the ROCKY
MOUNTAIN RIFLE. It is an attractively boxed variation that does not come along
very often, in fact all Marx Cap Rifles are scarce. It is in all original
Mint-In-Box condition. A very nice realistic looking cap rifle that would look

NOTCH-IT Nichols STALLION .45 Cap Gun HTF |

This is the RARE NOTCH-IT Nichols
STALLION .45 cap gun in the rare blue finish with wood grips. In the early
1960's the W.J. Murphy Company of Asheville NC contracted with Nichols
Industries to supply them with several models of un-finished cap guns which
included the Colt Special, Stallion 22, Stallion 32, Stallion 38, Top Hand-250,
Stallion 45, and the ULTRA RARE Stallion 44 and Stallion 38 MK II.
The W.J.
Murphy Co. created a series of NOTCH-IT holster sets for these cap guns and
would then finish the cap guns, box them in single and double holster sets and
market them as AUTHENTIC WESTERN STYLE Holster Sets under the name W.J. MURPHY
CO.
They were almost always completed with a painted blue finish and
equipped with plain wood grips. However, I have seen some specimens with
plastic grips. All of the holster sets came with a small pocketknife attached
to the holster with a key chain. The knife was there to NOTCH the grips for
recording the winning GUNFIGHTS of the young cowboy that was lucky enough to
own such an awesome set.
The gun is
a Nichols Stallion 45 and is in EXCELLENT PLUS condition. It functions as it
should, rotating the cylinder with each pull of the trigger or hammer and comes
complete with all six (6) ORIGINAL UNFIRED Nichols two-piece bullets.
Shortly
after Mr. Murphy launched his line of cap gun and holster sets, he passed away
at an early age and most all of the remaining equipment and inventory was sold
as there was no one with the knowledge to continue the business. All W.J.
MURPHY CO. finished cap guns and NOTCH-IT holster sets are extremely scarce and
Hard-To-Find. They are some of the most desired and sought after cap guns and
holster sets by all collectors and especially by advanced Nichols Collectors
from all parts of the world.

| Rare Red FANNER 50

This is a Mattel FANNER 50 Marshal
single holster set in the Super Rare RED color. Around 1960 Mattel decided to
market their very popular FANNER 50 Marshal holster sets to girls as well as
boys. They were offered in four top-grain leather colors in addition to the
regular natural color leather sets, The four colors are RED, WHITE, PINK, and
BLUE. All of these colored sets are EXTREMELY RARE & HTF. I have never seen
the WHITE set. Also, all of the colored sets came with a FANNER 50 cap gun with
the 1st variation rotating cylinder. It is non-bullet loading and commonly
referred to as the GRAPEFRUIT cylinder. All of the colored sets came with
eighteen (18) of the rare 1st variation LARGE Mattel bullets in the belt. These
rare bullets are 13/32" in diameter and 1-3/8" long. The later more commonly
seen bullets are 3/8" in diameter and 1-3/16" long. The later bullets will be
loose in this gun belt.
The cap gun
is in MINT UNFIRED condition. As stated earlier, it is the 1st variation
non-bullet loading GRAPEFRUIT revolving cylinder variation and functions as it
should with a strong snap to the hammer and rotates the cylinder and cap
advance wheel with each pull of the trigger. There are no chips, cracks,
breaks, or repairs to the grips or frame of the cap gun. The holster is in
Excellent Plus/Near Mint condition and is made of top grain cowhide RED
leather. As stated in the title it is the Marshal Single Holster variation and
comes with a full load of eighteen (18) large original Mattel two-tone metal
bullets and still retains its' RED leather leg tie-down strap. There are no
rips, tears, missing stitches, or repairs to the holster. Price: $625.00
