Even more Cap Guns from Leslie-Henry!

Here is a rather rare set from 1942. An offering by the M.A. Henry Company. I hadn't ever seen one before.

Photo by Scott McCollum of Cap Gun Treasures.

Here's another M.A. Henry offering, but this one is a Ranger with the box. Very rare!

Leslie-Henry Wyatt Earp
This is another one of those standard Leslie-Henry Cap Guns, but in the Wyatt Earp theme. This Cap Gun is actually quite rare and you very seldom see one.

Many thanks to Rich Hall.

Here is the same basic Leslie-Henry Cap Gun, but notice the screws in the grips have that standard square Canadian hole, showing that they came from Canada. Also they have steers in the elliptical grip emblems.

Many thanks to Scott McCollum

Leslie-Henry (HALCO) Wagon Train Scout 5-in-1 Set

This is an ultra rare Wagon Train Scout boxed set. It was made by the M.A. Henry Company. It features a 5-in-1 combination rifle. This set not only has a 44 Wagon Train cap pistol, it then turns into a cap pistol with long barrel, Carbine, Rifle without site and finally a complete rifle. The gun even Ricochets! This is the early model Wagon Train 44 that takes the bullets. This may be the ONLY Wagon Scout set known to exist. The cap gun book Backyard Buckaroos shows a regular Wagon Train 5-in-one in a plain box made in the 1957 era. This one has a colorful red, green and white box . The gun is in unfired mint condition. This is a set you may never see anywhere else.

Photos by Scott McCollum. Way to go Scott!

Here is a Texas "77" Smoker. I had never seen one of these before. The rearing horse is a dead giveaway that it was made by Leslie-Henry.

Young Buffalo Bill by Leslie-Henry/Halco from 1955-1960.
These also came in amber grips.

Photo thanks to Lucille Scott and Vic Arcand

Young Buffalo Bill by Leslie-Henry/Halco from 1955-1960
(Amber Grips)
This Cap Gun was made by Leslie-Henry in two basic versions, one for themselves and another one for HALCO. This one that was made for themselves is the one with Amber Grips! The donor actually took my advice and went outside and used the afternoon sun for lighting and got some nice effects!

These photos are thanks to William Scott Cushwa.

And here the same type of Cap Gun from Leslie-Henry, but the white grips AND a complete set!
Thanks to Scott McCollum.

Leslie-Henry Texas
Apparently there was some collusion between Hubley and Leslie-Henry on this Cap Gun, as there is a model that is Hubley and a model that is Leslie-Henry. These are actually mine now, as I won them on Ebay for virtually nothing. You ought to try bidding, as sometimes you will get a pretty good deal. And you can support your local gunslinger, as do I.

Thanks to Square Traders, Inc. for these photos.

This Leslie-Henry "Texas" (like many others) is the same as the Davy Crockett model down below, but the name has been changed to appeal (I guess) to another crowd. Maybe us Texans. Many people are surprised to find out that Texans aren't really as arrogant as they thought. Most of us, by the time we get to 20, find out that other states have their own charm too. But it's kind of fun to live in a state where there are actually about 5 totally distinctive areas in geography and culture. Except, of course, for how far you have to DRIVE!!!

Thanks to Crystal Schaden for this photo.
Well, I'm a sucker for the same exact gun, but this time in the gold. And this one is a beauty!

Thanks to Doug Hamilton for these photos.

Leslie-Henry Derringer
I can't really give you much of a good reason that I put this Derringer on this page, as it is manufactured by Leslie-Henry, but HALCO also distributed it. In fact, sometimes I think "HALCO" could have stood for Hubley And Leslie-Henry COmpany.
