Leslie-Henry Girls Cap Gun with Pink Grips

This is a
late offering by Leslie-Henry that was supposed to appeal to cowgirls, since it
had pink grips. It was probably distributed under the HALCO name, for we see
the diamond "H" on the grips. These photos courtesy of Richard

Just
another example of the ever-changing Leslie-Henry Cap Gun. These have the
ellipse in the grips and "WAGON TRAIN" under the faux cylinders. Nice pair for
sure! These photos courtesy of David Welch, Childhood Memorabilia,

Here is a
Wagon Train gun and holster set from the TV show that was made by Leslie-Henry
and distributed by Carnell. It has the same Cap Gun as those featured right
above it. The box makes this one really valuable. Boxes like this are almost
certainly guaranteed to jack the price up by at least a hundred dollars. And
yet some people don't even value boxes at all. I know one particular fellow who
threw away a MINT Nichols Model 95 Rifle Box!!! Top That! But at least he's
still got the rifle in DEAD MINT condition. Including the bullet clip and all
of the bullets. Your chances of finding that bullet clip by itself are about
the same as finding Noah's Ark in mint condition.
Thanks to Jim
Mair for the above photo.

Leslie-Henry Wagon Train Flip Up Model

This
Wagon Train Leslie-Henry Cap Gun is one of the scarcer character marked cap
guns. The cap gun was issued during the original run of the television series
Wagon Train in the 1950's. It has a flip-up type magazine with a latch release
just ahead of the trigger. |

Here is a
super Leslie-Henry Roy Rogers 49er Cap Gun. This one is from the 1950-1955 era
and as we can see, comes with an excellent blue box. You will notice that this
box is sealed in plastic for protection. It is probably filled with foam also,
to hold its shape. Good idea!
Thanks to David Denton.

Here is
the same gun (MINT!!!) in gold from David also. |

Here's a nice Forty Niner complete with spurs!
Thanks to Mike
Klug for the photo!
And
here's another one with extra conchos for I don't know what. Hat bands? But I'm
a sucker for another good photo and this set is really nice.
Thanks to Chuck
Quinn for the photos!
And another one, but this one is from Canada. Always notice
that little screw in the base of the grip. See how it has a square hold instead
of a slot? If you can't see it, then perhaps you had better click on the photo
to see a larger version of the same photo.

And finally, here's a
standard long barrel Leslie-Henry gun, but as Dave says, "It is No Name, like
Clint Eastwood in those movies."
